What is your motto?  Your favorite quote?  Words you live by?

  1. Wow, that's a tough one! I have many ... most from the Bible :) And the top spot changes frequently. So, today my favorite is:
“Wherever you are, be all there! Live to the hilt every situation you believe to be the will of God.”
    ― Jim Elliot

  2. My kids think my quote is, "I never have enough time to do anything!!!" and "Everything is a mess!!". The season of my life right now is just trying to survive, focusing on one day at a time, and keeping my head above water and not drown. So, with that said, my favorite motto is a Bible chapter. It is Psalm 121 "I lift up mine eyes to the hills, from where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth. He does not allow your foot to slip, He who keeps you does not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel does not slumber nor sleep. The LORD is your keeper, The LORD is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not smite you by day, nor the moon at night. The LORD will protect you from all evil, He will keep your soul. The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in, from this day forth forever."

  3. Lately there's two: "With God all things are possible." and "It's not perfect, but I'm just going to let it be good enough." I used to be so afraid that I wouldn't be able to finish the workouts or the number of reps in the Wendler stuff, but one time it occurred to me whilst doing presses that I may not be able to do it by myself, but if God helped me than I could for sure do it. So now that's what my motto is during workouts. Also, it's my nature to always see how something could be better, so I've learned to tell myself to let things be good enough so that I can move on and stop spending so much time trying to make everything perfect.

  4. This was difficult to answer because I pretty much have a new one every day! But this sums it up really well for me:
"The fact that I am a woman does not make me a different kind of Christian. But the fact that I am a Christian does make me a different kind of woman."
    ~ Elisabeth Elliot

  5. My motto usually is no pain no gain I am working out. I tend to have to remind myself that a lot because I really can't say that I "enjoy" it yet I freak out if I am not able to. I also say this a lot, "you get what you put into it" - which relates to everything in life. My favorite quote is from the Bible, I can do anything through Christ who strengthens me! :)
