Week 5: Question of the Week

The "Question of the Week" this week is being replaced by

"Share Your Success!"

Whether it's pounds or inches lost or improvement on the FIT test...brag, brag, brag!!

After all, YOU are the one doing the hard work, let us all give a pat on the back.

  1. I improved on every one of the fit tests (and I even beat my mom!) even though I was sick

  2. It pays to have thighs like a linebacker. I totally killed it on the air squats from fit test #1. I did better in every area except the wall sit. I think my legs were fried after air squats. Lovin this challenge.

  3. I got Rx on Pistols :0)!
I have been RXing more on my WOD's.
With my shoulder being out of whack for about 3 months, that makes me want to practice more now and perfect moves, so I am strong in The Open coming in March.
I was able to do a OHS at 65# and not 45# :0). Snatches were way stronger and I have better form.
I am enjoying all the individual challenges. I feel stronger, with all the reps we have been assigned to do.
My Fit test is on Saturday so I can brag more when I see the results.
    I think I am seeing a 2 pack :0).
And...Since Buffy already showed her Booty in the Plank Pics. I hope my Booty will look just at good at the 10 weeks :0).

  4. I improved on all skills of the FIT test (and I even beat Keagan!). I just want to encourage people that we all start from different places and to some, losing 50 lbs may be a huge success and for others, just being able to see mild loses in circumference is just as rewarding. It all makes for healthier and happier people! I'm so inspired every day at the box! Good job to you all!

  6. I was actually able to lose pounds, inches and body fat! I also had incredible results on the FIT test! I attribute my success to staying strict to the challenge and having such an awesome and inspiring team (Warner included!) We talk constantly and it keeps me on track! I love the Mean Girls!

  7. I improved on everything except the wall sits...that one just kills me! I'll get it by week 10 for sure! Feels great to finally see some lbs come off and down 3% body fat! Can't wait to see what's next!

  8. I got my very first RX on Monday when we did man makers, bur-pees and lunges. I was very exhausted and was one of the last ones to finish but I got it done (thanks for the help Devon).

I also am more conscious on eating better, drinking more water (while having a soda once every few days instead of every day). I get to bed earlier (so I can wake up earlier for the workouts) and generally feel better overall, except for all my sore muscles!

  9. Very impressive everyone! You are all so inspiring! I lost 2 inches in my waist and 1% body fat. I am most excited about improvements in my fit test though. It's such a great feeling to be able to do something you never thought you could! I feel so much stronger and healthier. I no longer want to snack late at night or eat sweets - I NEVER thought I'd say that!!!

  10. Let's me just start by saying... If I knew being a "Mean Girl" had such great benefits I may have been mean sooner! I gained a couple of pounds in the last 5 weeks, I also lost body fat, which means more muscles for me. Hurray! My teammates have been amazing! I love this challenge. Can't wait to see what the next few weeks bring...

  11. I haven't had my measurements done yet but I know I've lost 5 pounds during this challenge. I've been able to RX more and more WOD's and recover after because of things I've learned during this challenge.

  14. I was very impressed when I rode Saturday & Sunday. It been a hard winter to ride outside and I've chosen xfit over my spin cycle most days, however, I've been very strong with my rides and even set PR's over last years time. I've lost inches & pounds and feel a core strength that I thought I'd never see again. I know this challenge has launched me into a successful cycling season & I love it!

  15. I improved on my fit test, lost inches and down 1% body fat. Half way through, just need to keep the momentum going!

  16. I improved on my fit test, especially on the wall sits. My first test I dropped right after the first leg lift! This time I made it through the whole sequence and past the cutoff. I was totally surprised.

I lost an inch on my waist and almost 1 percent body fat. The increased strength and continued leaning-down gives me more determination to finish strong in the last five weeks.

  24. I am inspired by those around me. I see others working extra hard which of course makes me want to work extra hard. Then when I get my results I am happy w/ what I have accomplished so far. Can't wait to see where I am in 5 more weeks. Down a few pounds and 3% body fat ( who knew I was so fatty?) =]
    Sara

I am feeling good as I work out and shedding the body fat. Didn't think I had 5% body fat to lose but glad it's gone. Another 5% to go and I will look like Devan and Taylor.

  25. I cant believe how much I have loved this challenge so far!! Love my team (Mean Girls), and love how much support they give me. I lost 2% body fat, and although it doesnt come off as fast as I would like, it is consistent and that is what matters. Cant wait for the next 5 weeks, but can wait for the no caffeine week!!

  26. So this fat kid weighed in 10lbs. less and 4" smaller in the waist and 5% less body fat. This challenge was the push I needed to get in gear and start eating right. I would also like to thank everyone for the encouraging words and for pushing me to do better everyday!!!

  27. First---it's so great to read everyone's successes above!!! Very inspirational!! Keep up the great work everybody!!!

Second--The bad news...I gained 2 pounds over the last 5 weeks. The good news, it's lean muscle mass, baby! :) I've lost about 5 lbs. of fat and added 6 lbs. of lean muscle mass. Almost 3 inches down in the gut and added a little mass every where else. I increased a bit in all areas of the FIT test, especially the planking and wall sit. I've learned alot over the last 5 weeks, especially where I can improve!! Look out! Captain A is looking forward to Week 10!!
